Ty Cliffel, Austin
As an adoptee, Ty has always been very interested in all aspects of the adoption triad, including birth parents, adoptees, and adoptive parents. She began her career working with children in college when she worked as a classroom assistant in a residential treatment center. Ty enjoyed connecting with teenagers and helping them succeed in the classroom by boosting their confidence and supporting them as they explored big emotions. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from John Carroll University, she went on to complete a Master’s in Counseling Psychology at Ball State. She has spent the last 25 years working with children and families in residential treatment, special needs classrooms, community engagement, and in foster care and adoption. Ty is a trained TBRI® educator who especially enjoys helping children find stability with loving families. Ty and her husband are having fun raising their four teenagers in the Austin area. They enjoy watching soccer, hiking, kayaking and listening to live music whenever possible.
