Children who come from difficult circumstances don’t just need foster families; they need an entire community of people who are committed to loving and caring for them. We have committed foster families who devote their lives to caring for the children in their homes, but everyone needs a break occasionally to refuel and recharge. That’s where you come in!
As a certified respite care provider you will be able to provide temporary care for children in foster care. You can be a piece of the puzzle in providing the stability and support children and their foster families need to thrive. In a survey of foster parents, Adopt US Kids found that the top two reasons foster parents requested respite support was to relieve emotional stress and have time with their spouses. By helping our foster parents get some rest, you are helping them to keep fostering and become better foster parents, which mean children are moved less and receive all of the love and care that they need to succeed.
Like our foster parents, you will receive training in order to care for these children and their specific needs. Fill out our inquiry form to receive an application and learn more about our next Meet and Greet Event.
Be foster proud and become a respite care provider today!
