Mission 1:27 is a foster care awareness campaign designed to assist churches in lifting up the voices of local children in need of families. By inviting individuals and families to respond to God’s call, the church can be the solution to caring for children in “their distress.”
A Mission 1:27 Church recognizes that foster children don’t just need any families, they need the BEST families. Families that have felt a calling from God, taken Christ’s words into their hearts, and made the decision to love unconditionally. We want to give you the tools and resources to raise awareness of the needs of local children and engage your congregation to become the hands and feet of Jesus by providing hope and healing to children in need.
Mission 1:27 includes:
- A comprehensive, step-by-step lay leaders guide
- Professionally-designed posters and bulletin inserts
- Engaging videos
- Sermon resources
- Worship guides
- Personal support from our Church Engagement staff
Over the course of one to four weeks, you will be able to lead your congregation through a process of reflection, prayer, and discovery to see if any of your members are being called to foster a child in need.
