How do I start a Mission 1:27 campaign in my church?

Posted by befosterproud on October 28, 2015

First, contact one of our Church Engagement staff. They will be glad to meet with you and discuss the Mission 1:27 campaign in detail. After meeting with our Church Engagement staff, your church leadership team will appoint a Mission 1:27 Team to conduct the campaign. We will provide the Team with a Leader’s Guide that outlines how to conduct the Mission 1:27 campaign, and we will meet with the Team to guide them through the process.

What if my church already has a foster or adoption ministry?

Posted by mhelt on October 28, 2015

We would love to partner with churches who already see foster care and adoption as a vital part of their ministry. Mission 1:27 can be a great tool to expand your ministry and explain the need to other congregants who haven’t already heard about fostering or adoption as a part of God’s calling. You may also want to consider the my faith FAMILY program, which helps churches provide support and encouragement to existing foster families in their congregations.

What if my church has already done a Mission 1:27 campaign?

Posted by mhelt on October 28, 2015

Your church owns and administers its Mission 1:27 campaign. This way it will fit your particular schedule and worship style. We encourage churches to consider conducting a Mission 1:27 campaign annually or bi-annually. As new members join your church or life changes for existing members, you never know who will be moved to act when you do the campaign again. We have a variety of posters and resources for churches to use; so, the campaign can look fresh and new every year.
